以前曾承蒙委任温哥华生活经验交流/互助區板主, 因事忙, 己推辞一次.

Finally there is a place for all Hongkongnese. I had joined some activities organised by the Mandarin speaking guys. They are very nice but it's difficult for me to communicate with them, although I speak some Mandarin. Let's gather together & organise some functions. 我在港有上一個網, 因嗰個電腦係台湾中文版, 好多字都寫唔出, 由其香港俗語/口語字, 寫唔出就揾別字嚟代, 或執筆忘字, 一日俾人指出話寫錯字, 睇睇下, 佢d文章咪錯字百出, 只不過50步笑百步啫!!
係香港網上, 己出近萬個帖, 在此己出近500個帖, 多少出錯都會!
香港人生活較忙,習慣了自我-點,殖民地教育和共產愛國主義教育不同,確實没有大陸同胞那樣團結,可以改善的.一起努力吧!樓主有這點心意很好啊!

I am neither good in English nor Chinese. I type in English this time only because I have to take time to learn typing in Chinese .I apoligize for that and I will try my best to learn Chinese typing. As typical Hong Kongers are bilinguals though they are actually not that fluent in English, it is the common practice that we speak our language with English words or phrases now and then.here and there. Kwai Lo may not understand the contents of our conversations but we do understand each other perfectly well. Is that so. I hate to speak Kwok Yu with Tai Luk LOs in Canada. Why should we speak Kwok Yu with them to follow their trend and dance according to their beat? Why don't they learn to speak Kwong Tung Wah? Or they can simply speak English.
Honestly sspeaking the Tai Luk Los disappoint, disgrace and discredits Hong Kong Chinese or even Chinese-Canadians because of their greediness and reluctance to conform to the Canadian culture. They are never igrorant but they want to make Vancouver another Chinese city where they can enjoy the privileges and vanity of being a Ka Kwai Lo. Every Hongkonger can quote numerous examples of their misbehaviour because of their very native concepts and attitudes. I want to keep a distance from them.
It is marvellous that someone comes out to take up this task to stage this forum for Hongkongers .
Please accept my hearty gratitude and support
